Biography
Brian Timmons specializes in handling high profile cases throughout the country that involve allegations of complex corporate fraud. He is highly regarded for his expertise in the areas of structured finance, accounting, auditing, securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, and derivatives. Yet, with more than 15 years of experience as a trial lawyer, Mr. Timmons excels at presenting technical and abstract concepts in terms juries understand. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, special committees, hedge funds, investment banks, trustees, creditor committees, private equity and venture capital funds, and he has represented most of the "Big 4" accounting firms. He also handles a wide variety of litigation matters, including white collar defense, class action, product liability, environmental, toxic tort, and employment litigation.

One of the principal partners representing the Italian food and dairy giant, Parmalat SpA, in several recovery actions brought by Parmalat in the United States against its former bankers and auditors, seeking over $ 7 billion in damages, arising from largest European bankruptcy ever recorded.
Representing a group of hedge funds in litigation against a major Wall Street bank seeking over $100 million in damages arising from the collapse of a publicly traded Australian company.
Obtained complete dismissal with no contribution toward global settlement for "Sallie Mae" in complex, $1 billion securities fraud matter involving interest rate derivatives, in connection with the nation's largest ever financial collapse of a municipality--Orange County, California.
