Biography


Alan Whitehurst’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on patent litigation. Mr. Whitehurst has litigated numerous patent cases before the International Trade Commission, Federal Circuit and district courts throughout the country. 

 

Mr. Whitehurst has extensive experience in the area of wireless communications. In fact, he litigated one of the first cases involving the popular WiFi standard. He also specializes in cases involving e-commerce and Internet-related patents. 

 

Mr. Whitehurst received his J.D., M.S. in electrical and computer engineering and B.S. in electrical engineering from Duke University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the International Trade Commission Trial Lawyers Association.
