When publishing giants Intuit and Broderbund Software were sued by E-Data for patent infringement regarding their award winning “Living Books” edutainment software products, we immediately took the inventor’s deposition and filed a summary judgment motion for patent invalidity. The district court was persuaded, and invalidated all claims of the patent on two separate grounds. The Court of Appeals affirmed the judgement in all relevant aspects.
