We have successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in major civil antitrust matters throughout the United States. We also have extensive experience representing parties involved in criminal and administrative antitrust proceedings. A significant number of our partners have experience in criminal antitrust law. Our white collar lawyers include the former United States Attorney for Los Angeles, eleven who served as Assistant United States Attorneys, and two who served as deputy district attorneys.
We have prosecuted and defended claims under sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act, sections 3 and 7 of the Clayton Act, the Robinson-Patman Act, California's Cartwright Act and New York's Donnelly Act. Our antitrust practice spans numerous industries, including, aerospace, agriculture, consumer electronics and other consumer products, computers, chemicals, entertainment, healthcare, minerals, telecommunications, transportation and a host of others. We also have extensive experience both prosecuting and defending antitrust class actions, as well as claims arising under state statutes regulating competition and unfair trade practices. We have defended companies in price fixing investigations brought by the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice.
An increasingly important area of antitrust practice relates to intellectual property. We have substantial experience, both under United States antitrust law and European Union competition law, relating to intellectual property rights. Our intellectual property expertise allow us to provide top-notch representation in the area in which antitrust and intellectual property intersect.
