For our policyholder clients, we have represented large corporate policyholders, as well as smaller insureds in actions against their insurers in all types of insurance coverage claims and matters, including antitrust, asbestos, broker liability, business interruption, commercial and general liability (CGL), crime and fidelity, directors and officers (D&O) liability, employment practices liability, entertainment industry, environmental, errors an omissions, healthcare, intellectual property, and product liability. Our lawyers have consistently achieved recoveries far exceeding fees paid. Most recently, the firm achieved a nine figure settlement after obtaining a jury verdict finding liability on the part of the insurer for business interruption losses. In many cases, we have obtained favorable resolutions for our clients before the commencement of litigation.
We also have represented the largest insurance and reinsurance companies in a range of matters from high-profile bet-the-company litigation to the gamut of disputes and other litigation. For example, we are representing AIG in the litigation arising out of the contentious break-up between AIG and certain of its former managing general agents owned by AIG's former CEO, Maurice "Hank" Greenberg.
