Veronica Bartholomew is an associate affiliated with Quinn Emanuel’s Washington DC office.  She joined the firm in 2022.  Veronica’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, and she has significant experience representing public companies and their boards of directors and officers in the Delaware Court of Chancery, as well as other state and federal courts, in merger and acquisition-related litigation, derivative suits, federal securities litigation, and statutory proceedings under the Delaware General Corporation Law.  

Veronica’s notable matters have included securing the dismissal of process-related claims in post-merger breach of fiduciary duty litigation against the former Chairman and CEO of a public company; securing the pleading-stage dismissal of derivative breach of fiduciary duty litigation against outside directors in federal court; and representing controlling stockholders and outside directors in a range of class action and fiduciary duty litigation through settlement and/or trial.  Veronica has also litigated multiple cases from commencement through trial both in the Delaware Court of Chancery and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.

Veronica graduated from Duke University School of Law in the top 5% of her class and holds a B.B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a candidate for Valedictorian.  Veronica also earned a spot as a walk-on with the Notre Dame Women’s Basketball Team and was a 2011 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Basketball National Finalist.
