Michelle Irwin is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s New York office. Ms. Irwin’s practice focuses on pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical patent litigation. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Ms. Irwin worked at an intellectual property boutique where she focused on complex life sciences litigation and FDA law.
Ms. Irwin has represented clients across a wide array of pharmaceutical technologies including both biologics and small molecules. Her experience includes Hatch-Waxman litigations as well as traditional patent infringement cases spanning formulation, drug product, and method of treatment claims. Ms. Irwin has experience in all stages of patent litigation, including claim construction, discovery, trial, and appeal.
Ms. Irwin’s practice also includes counseling clients on patent strategy, IP portfolio evaluation, and an assortment of regulatory matters.
Ms. Irwin received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where she interned with the United Stated Food and Drug Administration, the United States Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, and the United States Department of Labor. She earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Boston College in 2012.
