Nicholas Lennings is Of Counsel in Quinn Emanuel’s Sydney office. He joined the firm in 2017. His practice focuses on complex commercial and corporate litigation, insurance, consumer law and representative proceedings (for both plaintiffs and defendants). He has a particular interest in expert evidence and civil procedure.


Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Nicholas worked as a litigator at a leading global law firm. In 2011, he was Tipstaff to Justice Hall of the NSW Supreme Court. In 2015, he completed a Master of Laws at the Harvard Law School, focusing on class action litigation, public law and regulation. In 2020, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Law at the University of Oxford. He has taught a number of legal subjects at Macquarie University and for Oriel College, Oxford, and is currently teaching at the University of Sydney, including a course on Anti-Corruption Law. From 2020, he has been rated as a “rising star” in Insurance Law and mentioned for his work in Dispute Resolution: Class Actions by the Legal500.
