Reece McMahon is an Associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Perth office. He joined the firm in 2019.
Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Reece worked at another international top tier firm for over 3 years.
Reece has experience in a range of commercial litigation matters in the District Court of Western Australia, Supreme Court of Western Australia and in the Federal Court of Australia. He also has experience in international arbitrations under the ICC and UNCITRAL Rules, and in adjudication applications under state security of payment legislation, including the WA CCA and NT SOPA.
Reece’s experience includes acting in disputes arising in the energy and resources sector, contentious corporate matters, and reviewing and preparing contractual documents with a particular focus on the construction industry.
In 2016, Reece spent 5 months on secondment, working onsite at a large LNG project in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Reece provided legal advice and ongoing project support to a large Joint Venture. He worked closely with key project personnel as well as provided advice and assistance to the general commercial team in respect of delay, disruption and other claims, Subcontract administration and project correspondence.
Reece is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Membership into the Society is by invitation only and recognises academic excellence, as well as promoting leadership and community service.
