Mauricio Pizarro Ortega is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Paris office. He joined the firm in 2018. His practice focuses on international arbitration and public international law. He has experience of arbitrations governed by a variety of procedural rules.
Prior to joining the firm, Mauricio worked in the arbitration team of a major UK law firm where his practice focused on investor-State arbitrations and commercial disputes involving the energy sector. His previous experience also includes a clerkship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague where he assisted arbitral tribunals on high-profile investor- and inter-State disputes, including arbitrations relating to natural resources, infrastructure, maritime and land boundaries, and the law of the sea.
