Valerie Ramos is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Washington, D.C. office.  She joined the firm in 2015.  Her practice focuses on cross-border complex commercial litigation and regulatory enforcement defense.  She has represented foreign individuals and corporations from Latin America in state and federal litigation as both plaintiffs and defendants in cross-border complex commercial disputes, involving allegations of securities violations, fraud, and busted deals.  Valerie has also represented clients in SEC regulatory enforcement actions, including those involving cryptocurrencies and foreign company filings.

Valerie is an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center.  She co-teaches a practical course on civil discovery in federal courts and a course related to initiating cross-border litigation.

At Berkeley Law, Valerie served as a Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Berkeley Business Law Journal, a Writing Coach for a Master’s of Law Legal Research and Writing Course, and a member of the Board of Advocates, where she and her team were named National Champions at the 2013 IP LawMeet Competition.  During law school, Valerie worked as a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California.
