Ion is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s London office. He joined the firm in 2019. His practice focuses on international commercial arbitration and investor-state disputes, where he represents both investors and sovereign states.
Ion acts in arbitration cases across numerous jurisdictions and procedural rules, including the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LMAA and CPR rules. His civil law and common law backgrounds allow him to effectively advise on matters involving several jurisdictions. Among others, he has repeatedly represented clients in the banking and financial services and infrastructure sectors and clients based in CIS states.
Ion obtained his Master of Laws degree (Magister Juris) with distinction at the University of Oxford, specializing in international arbitration and comparative contract law.
Prior to joining the firm, Ion worked at a leading law firm in Greece and the Greek Competition Commission.
