Jun Zheng joined Quinn Emanuel’s Austin office in 2022, after clerking for the Honorable Alan D Albright in the Western District of Texas. While clerking, he assisted Judge Albright with managing the busiest patent docket in the country, including drafting standing orders regarding case management, supporting the Court in various hearings at every stage of litigation, and assisting the Court as needed in eight patent jury trials. Jun is a member of Judge Albright’s Working Group, which advises the judge on rules and procedures governing patent cases.
Jun’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, particularly patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation. With two master’s degrees in electrical engineering, he resolves complex intellectual property issues with his thorough understanding of the underlying technologies. He has experience representing major tech companies before federal district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Prior to moving to the United States, Jun lived in mainland China and Hong Kong. He speaks fluent Mandarin and is proficient in Cantonese. With his deep understanding of the Chinese culture and legal industry, he has represented Chinese clients in U.S. courts and advised U.S. clients in IP lawsuits in China.
