Chad Johnson has joined the firm as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Johnson was previously a member ofthe New York Attorney General’s leadership team, where he served first as Deputy Attorney General and Senior Trial Counsel, and then as Chief of Investor Protection. In the NYAG’s office, he advised the New York Attorney General on securities fraud and other Wall Street-related matters. He also ran the bureau with primary responsibility for enforcing New York’s Martin Act. Mr. Johnson led many of the largest and most complex matters handled by the NYAG, including enforcement actions related to dark pools, foreign currency practices, residential mortgage backed securities, and auditing practices. Mr. Johnson had previously been a partner at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann and Latham & Watkins. Mr. Johnson has been counsel in some of the largest private shareholder actions in history and represented large financial institutions, individuals, and companies in high-stakes commercial litigation.
