Quinn Emanuel is proud to announce that firm partners Nadine Herrmann (Hamburg), Tara Lee (Washington, D.C.), and Sue Prevezer QC (London) are supporting Burford Capital in their groundbreaking launch of The Equity Project a commitment to helping close the gender gap in law.
Our commitment to diversity not only runs deep, it also runs from the top down and we have a demonstrated record of advancing women. In 2010, Kathleen Sullivan became name partner at Quinn Emanuel, marking the first time a woman has held this position in the Am Law 100. Currently, 45 of our 249 partners are women. If you consider that they are all litigators with extensive trial experience (a field of law where there are relatively few women), that number becomes even more significant.
Fourteen of the firm’s core Practice Groups are headed by women, and five of the firm’s branch office managing partners are women. Year after year, many of our female partners are named “Super Lawyers” in California, New York, and other cities. Many of them have also been named to prestigious lists such as Law360’s “Top Female Trial Attorneys,” The Recorder’s “Women Leaders in Law,” Daily Journal’s “Top Women Lawyers” and “Top 75 Women Litigators,” Benchmark’s “Top 250 Women in Litigation,” and The American Lawyer’s “Top 45 Women Litigators Under 45.” We know of no other firm that has so many women trial lawyers with the level of experience, not to mention the record of victories, that ours do.
