Quinn Emanuel Adds London Based Competition Star Boris Bronfentrinker to Its Global Competition Group

Boris Bronfentrinker, a specialist in antitrust and competition law, will join as a partner based in the firm’s London office. Boris also has extensive experience with general commercial disputes and managing internal investigations. Boris was formerly a partner at Hausfeld LLP and, before that, spent seven years as a member of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s competition practice, primarily representing defendants. Boris has a unique perspective having significant experience in representing both claimants and defendants in competition litigation.

Boris has represented clients in both the English High Court and the Competition Appeal Tribunal, as well as coordinating competition litigation claims in other jurisdictions. Boris also has experience with general commercial disputes and managing internal investigations. Examples of clients he has represented include Continental AG, Deutsche Bahn AG, Samsung, Hays plc, Visa Europe and the MTN Group.

Boris has degrees in both Law (first class honours) and Economics University of Sydney. He also holds a postgraduate degree in EC Competition Law from King’s College, London. He is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and in New South Wales (Australia).

Antitrust litigation has always been a significant part of Quinn Emanuel’s practice in the United States. More recently it has become an growing part of the firm’s practice internationally. Adding Bronfrentrinker to the firm’s existing Competition team in Brussels and Germany will help better serve clients in both domestic and international competition matters.
