James Mayers Promoted to Partner in the Middle East

The firm is pleased to announce that it has promoted James Mayers to partner. James will be located in the Riyadh office.

James is a construction and engineering specialist and advises clients on all aspects of transactional and contentious construction law, both in the Middle East region and internationally, with specific expertise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar. He has lived and worked throughout the Middle East for over a decade and has represented clients in relation to some of the largest and most complex disputes in the region, through mediation, expert determination, international arbitration, and litigation.

Nasser Alrubayyi, Managing Partner of the Riyadh office said “I am very excited to have James join the Riyadh team as we continue to advise many of the key players in the ongoing transformation of the Kingdom. Much of that work relates to major construction projects and having James join us demonstrates our strong commitment to Saudi Arabia and further enhances our offering in the key area of construction disputes.

James Bremen, Chair of the firm’s Construction and Engineering Practice said “I have worked very closely with James for over a decade. He is an absolutely first class lawyer that consistently delivers results for our clients. Having James in Riyadh will be of great service to our clients doing business in the Kingdom and further reinforces our firm’s position as the first choice for parties involved in construction disputes in Saudi Arabia and MENA, and the only logical choice where success is the key factor in their selection of counsel.

James has acted as trusted counsel over extended periods to various government entities, national oil companies, public bodies, developers, contractors and consultants. James’ experience spans various industry sectors, including oil & gas, roads, healthcare, petrochemical, water, rail, commercial and residential, hotels, mining, sports, power, and renewable energy.
