Emma Barton is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation, particularly high-stakes antitrust matters. She has experience in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial, in both state and federal court.
Emma has worked on matters involving billions of dollars in alleged damages. She has experience managing large-scale discovery, drafting motions, and working with expert witnesses. Her litigation work spans a variety of practice areas, including securities, biotechnology, and entertainment.
Before joining the firm in 2022, Emma graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School, where she earned Dean’s Scholar Prizes in Capital Punishment and Mass Incarceration and Sentencing Law. During law school, she represented incarcerated individuals in disciplinary hearings in Massachusetts prisons and helped prepare California state death penalty habeas petitions. She earned her B.A. in Cognitive Science and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
