Base compensation for entry-level associates as of January, 2024

First-year associates are also eligible for a year-end bonus. In addition, the firm reimburses associates
for reasonable moving expenses, bar application, examination fees and one bar study course. U.S.
Federal judicial clerks are eligible for a $125,000 clerkship bonus. An additional $25,000 bonus is offered to federal clerks who join the firm after completing two qualifying clerkships.

  • Vacation

    U.S. Associate and Of Counsel attorneys have unlimited vacation days, subject to case and business needs. As long as individual lawyers meet their obligations, they are eligible to take as much or as little vacation as desired.

  • State Bar Dues

    The firm reimburses attorneys for annual bar dues for the state (or District) in which they are officed.

  • 401(k)

    Eligible to participate in firm 401(k) plan after 6 months employment

  • Maternity/ Primary Caregiver Leave

    20 weeks of maternity leave and 8 weeks of paternity leave for U.S. attorneys

  • Health Insurance Coverage

    The firm offers both an HMO and Open Access Plus/Out of Network Plan. The firm pays 100% of the employee premium and 50% of dependent coverage. Domestic partner coverage is available

    Transparency in Coverage Rule 

    This link leads to the machine readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.

  • Profit Sharing

    Eligible to participate in profit sharing plan after 3 months employment. The firm contribution is a fixed percentage contingent upon the firm's profitability and is fully vested upon funding.

  • Technology Stipend

    The firm provides associates three types of technology stipends: (1) a firm-managed personal laptop; (2) up to $150 towards the purchase of a cell phone and (3) up to $50 per month applied towards the associate’s data plan.

  • Discount Programs

    Associates are eligible for discount programs with Dell and Verizon

  • Gym Membership

    Associates are eligible for a free membership to local Equinox gyms (the membership is a taxable fringe benefit).

  • Travel Opportunities

    Associates are given the opportunity for national and international travel through our subsidized Global Experience and Global Exchange programs

  • Family Building Benefit

    The benefit provides Associates, Of Counsels and Partners, who have been with the firm for a year or more, a loan up to $75,000 (lifetime maximum) toward infertility services.  This loan will be forgiven, but subject to applicable taxes, if the employee/partner is still with the firm 12 months after the date of the last disbursement.  Participants who leave the Firm for any reason, prior to 12 months following the last disbursement will be required to reimburse the firm for the full amount of the loan.
