Valerie Gutmann is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Chicago office. She joined the firm in 2025 following clerkships for the Honorable Stephanie K. Seymour of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Honorable Geoffrey W. Crawford of the United States District Court for the District of Vermont. Valerie is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where she was Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Negotiation Law Review and a teaching fellow for the Harvard Negotiation Workshop. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. As a Marshall Scholar, she earned an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and an MSc from the University of Oxford.
