Dan Humphrey is a lawyer whose practice includes representing companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100s. He guides his clients through all phases of the litigation process—from the initial investigation of claims through appeals. His cases generally involve “bet the company” matters where the client’s entire existence is on the line. Dan also routinely advises clients in adversary matters against state and local governments including representing clients against the Office of Foreign Asset Control and before the Florida Supreme Court.
Before joining Quinn Emanuel, Dan was a litigator at a preeminent boutique law firm in Miami, Florida. Prior to that, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lauren F. Louis, United States Magistrate Judge, Southern District of Florida, and the Honorable John D. Couriel, Justice, Florida Supreme Court. Because of his vast federal and state court experience in Florida, Dan’s clients often call on him to solve complex cross-jurisdictional problems involving both local, state, and federal branches of government.
Dan is an alumnus of Fordham Law School and Stetson University. While in law school, Dan served as a research assistant to Dr. Karen Greenberg at the Center on National Security, a non-profit, apolitical think-tank housed at Fordham which focuses on research related to terrorism, cyber-security, and national security.
