Dr. Stephan Klebes is a German-qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt) in Quinn Emanuel’s Hamburg office.
Stephan specializes in German and international commercial arbitration and complex cross-border disputes. He advises and represents clients in arbitration proceedings and before German courts at trial and appellate level. He also has significant experience in litigation funding matters.
Stephan had already worked at Quinn Emanuel from 2021 until 2024. He subsequently worked at a leading European litigation funder, where he focused on the evaluation and management of high-value commercial claims and arbitration proceedings, and returned to Quinn Emanuel in 2026. He studied law at the University of Mannheim, specializing in International Commercial Law, and earned an LL.M. in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Cape Town. He completed his legal clerkship at the Celle Court of Appeals and holds a doctorate in arbitration and international procedural law from the University of Osnabrück.
Stephan is a member of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS).
