Summer Associate Testimonials
Each year we ask summer associates to describe their experiences at the firm. If you would like to read what former summer associates say about the firm.
The Quinn summer is completely unique among other programs. Starting the first week, I attended multiple hearings in federal and state court for a variety of cases. Better still, after every hearing, the lead partner would ask: “What did you think?” ...
I liked that assignments weren’t “one and done”—I was fully integrated into the case teams and really got a feel for what it would like to work on matters as an associate. There are also a plethora of opportunities to attend mediations, hearings, and...
On Day 1 itself, we received our first assignments and dove headfirst into legal research and writing. By Week 3, I was already sitting in on depositions, drafting portions of a motion for summary judgement, and reporting directly to partners on com...
In the span of ten weeks, I engaged with complex research and writing assignments (including drafting a section of a Delaware Supreme Court brief), climbed a section of the Andes in Peru, and learned from some of the best trial lawyers in the game du...
Over the summer, I worked in areas of finance, defamation, constitutional law, and plaintiff-side litigation. I even helped prepare for upcoming trials and oral hearings. Despite all these great learning opportunities, the highlight of the summer was...
I chose to summer at Quinn Emanuel because I want to be a generalist, and I really appreciate the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases in federal and state court. I also got to stay on cases throughout the summer and contrib...
There’s a lot of chatter out there about the life of a summer associate, BigLaw, Quinn, and so on. My summer at Quinn broke through that noise and gave me a glimpse into what this world really looks like. I was assigned substantive,...
From the cooking class to the sailing event, it felt like every event was unique and designed to bring our class together with the attorneys in new and interesting ways. The attorneys all cared about giving us meaningful work and were always patient ...
What sets Quinn apart is not just the caliber of the work, but the people. I was surrounded by brilliant, driven associates and partners who took the time to mentor, challenge, and support me. The summer wasn’t just about hard work. Quinn also knows ...
There is hardly any other peer firm that entrusts their summer associates with as much responsibility as QE while simultaneously prioritizing our learning and well-being. QE’s focus on high-stakes trial work also offers an especially unique experienc...
From my first day as a summer associate, I immersed myself in the full lifecycle of litigation—actively drafting and contributing to, among other things, search terms, mediation statements, and cross-examination outlines. But my summer was also rich ...
I had the privilege of contributing to a litigation case I had been following even before my summer. To get hands-on experience with such a cutting-edge matter as a summer associate was both thrilling and formative. At every step, the feedback I rece...
I’m so grateful to have spent my summer at Quinn Emanuel. I was doing interesting work from my first day in the office. My mentors and colleagues were not only some of the brightest attorneys I have ever worked with, but they were also so warm and do...
