Jennifer English is Of Counsel in Quinn Emanuel's Los Angeles office, where she focuses on antitrust litigation, data breach response and cybersecurity litigation, and complex commercial disputes. Ms. English has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America (2021-2025).
Antitrust. Ms. English's antitrust practice encompasses high-stakes litigation and investigations across multiple industries. Her matters include litigation against Ticketmaster and Live Nation in the Central District of California addressing anticompetitive practices in the live entertainment industry. She achieved a $110 million settlement for Songkick in an antitrust and trade secrets action in Los Angeles federal court. Other representative antitrust clients include major companies and industry leaders such as Conagra, Hyundai, Kia, Talen Energy, Amrize (formerly Holcim), Nutrien, Nova Chemicals, and Vulcan Materials. Ms. English has extensive experience coordinating large class actions, MDLs, and antitrust investigations.
Data Breach and Cybersecurity. Ms. English advises clients on incident response, regulatory compliance, and litigation arising from ransomware attacks and data security incidents. She recently helped lead the defense of cybersecurity firms Cyderes and Fishtech in litigation stemming from a cybersecurity incident, obtaining dismissal of negligence claims. Her clients include Entertainment Partners and other leading companies across multiple industries. Ms. English coordinates global response teams, manages regulatory notifications across multiple jurisdictions, and has particular expertise analyzing cross-border notification requirements under state, federal, and international privacy frameworks.
Complex Commercial Litigation. Ms. English's broader litigation practice includes representing Lotte Corporation in competitor litigation in Guam Superior Court, plaintiffs in securities litigation across multiple jurisdictions, and serving on Mattel's trial team for a three-month intellectual property trial. Ms. English maintains an active pro bono practice focused on asylum representation, recently securing asylum for a human rights activist and her family.
While in law school, Ms. English externed for Hon. Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner of the Central District of California. Ms. English also served as Executive Editor of the UCLA Law Review. Before law school, Ms. English was a journalist specializing in coverage of federal court trials for a wire service.
