Jonathan Pond is an associate in Quinn Emanuel's London office. He joined the firm in 2023. His practice encompasses a range of complex commercial litigation and arbitration, including banking, civil fraud, commodities, and insurance matters.
Jonathan has acted in both the English courts and international arbitration, including Commercial Court fraud litigation in the commodities sector, arbitration raising sanctions issues, and banking and insurance disputes.
Jonathan holds an MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, where he specialised in international economic law and studied finance and economics. He also earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Economics from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Stellenbosch University. Before attending law school and training and qualifying at a leading South African law firm, Jonathan worked briefly as an advertising creative.
