Congratulations to Quinn Emanuel's Bobby Schwartz- partner in our Los Angeles office and co-chair of the Media & Entertainment Industry Practice, for his recognition in The Hollywood Reporter's 'Legal Legends, a Power Lawyers special feature'. This feature honors the entertainment attorneys whose career achievements and contributions to the industry are extraordinary.
The feature not only highlights Bobby's more recent courtroom successes, but it also looks back on some of his early career-making cases -- from his trial win for Warner Bros in 1994 in a suit from two executive producers of Batman and Batman Returns, who alleged to have been kicked off the project and underpaid their net profits, to his creation of “active inducement of copyright infringement” to shut down rampant Internet piracy, that the Supreme Court adopted 9-0 in MGM v. Grokster, his multiple wins that secured for Sony Pictures the film rights to Spider-Man.
