Nadine Herrmann to Speak at Knowledge Nomad’s Summer Legal Conference in Berlin
Nadine Herrmann, a partner in the firm’s Hamburg and Brussels offices and Chair of the firm’s EU and German Competition Practice, will be speaking at Knowledge Nomad’s inaugural Summer Legal Conference, being held in Berlin, Germany between July 23-29, 2017. On Friday, July 28, under the heading “Legal Fallout from the Dieselgate Emissions Scandal” Nadine will be speaking on the timely topic of class actions by Volkswagen investors. Volkswagen's largest investors are a significant constituency and a number of them are alleging that as shareholders in the global car giant, they suffered loss as a result of the Dieselgate emissions scandal. Nadine will explain the intricacies of the case seeking damages presently before Germany's Braunschweig District Court, in which shareholders are alleging in part that Volkswagen failed to publish market sensitive information in a timely manner, in breach of German securities law.
