Quinn Emanuel partner Kevin Chu was named a winner in the "Washington D.C. Rising Stars" category at The National Law Journal Awards 2025. The awards dinner took place on November 5 at The Westin Downtown in Washington, D.C.
The National Law Journal's D.C. Rising Stars awards honor the Washington, D.C., region's 40 most promising lawyers age 40 and under. The program highlights lawyers who have wielded influence in their practice areas, developed unique practice niches, secured major wins for clients, and demonstrated strong leadership qualities.
Kevin is a partner in Quinn Emanuel's Washington, D.C. office, where his practice focuses on intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission (ITC). He has practiced before the ITC for more than ten years and represented complainants, respondents, and third parties in more than forty Section 337 investigations.
In the past year, Kevin achieved two major trial victories at the ITC. He represented Samsung Display in ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1378, a wide-ranging trade secret misappropriation case that resulted in an overwhelming win with sweeping trade secret misappropriation findings against BOE Technology Group. He also secured a complete victory for Juul Labs in ITC Inv. No. 337-TA-1368 against Altria and NJOY, resulting in a comprehensive import ban that delivered a significant competitive advantage to his client.
Kevin has been honored by Lawdragon 500 X (2023-2025), ranked as a "Next Generation Partner" and "Recommended Lawyer" by Legal 500 USA (2023-2025), and named one of the most active and best performing attorneys at the ITC by the Patexia ITC Intelligence Report (2023-2025).
