"The European Energy Crisis and The Future of Energy Arbitration"
24 March 2026
Quinn Emanuel will be hosting a presentation examining the complex dispute landscape that has arisen from the European energy crisis, which has triggered a significant wave of arbitrations and proceedings in the oil, gas, and LNG sectors. These arbitrations have reshaped contractual risk allocation, pricing, force majeure claims, and the scope of regulatory intervention.
Led by host speakers Thomas Voisin, Managing Partner of the Paris Office, and Thomas Adams, Associate, alongside guest speakers Michael Polkinghorne of White & Case and Patrick Hebreard of HKA Global Ltd, the session will take the form of a discussion to take stock of disputes, analyse trends and strategies, and explore how future disputes might evolve – including the implications of the Iran dispute on gas and fuel markets.
