We're delighted to announce that Quinn Emanuel's London office has once again been recognised in The Lawyers' list of the year's most significant litigation. Two of our cases have been selected:
Peter Waddell v Bluebell Cars Holding and others (High Court, Chancery Division | February 2026)
Representing Peter Waddell and Peter Waddell Holdco in a defining case on private equity dynamics and corporate governance. At the heart of this dispute is the £700m Big Motoring World (BMW) empire—a "rags to riches" story that raises pressing questions about hostile takeovers, executive conduct allegations, and the balance of power between founders and institutional investors.
Team: Justin Michaelson (Partner), Simon Walsh (Of Counsel), Sam Becroft and Lakshana Radhakrishnan (Associates)
Various investors v Glencore and Steven Kalmin (High Court, Commercial Court | October 2026)
Advising Aabar Holdings - an investment company owned by the Abu Dhabi Government - in one of the largest active securities claims in the UK. This landmark case seeks compensation for shareholder losses stemming from alleged bribery, corruption and misconduct across Africa and South America, with implications for how major corporates disclose misconduct risks to investors.
Team: Richard East, Julianne Hughes-Jennett (Partners), James Leadill (Of Counsel), Katie Reith, Tom Pierce, Marjun Parcasio (Senior Associates), Mark Thornton, Alex Bromwich, Jade Yu, Cormac Ruiz (Associates)
These cases underscore Quinn Emanuel's deep expertise in complex commercial litigation, securities claims, and corporate governance disputes. With five major High Court trials in 2025 alone, as we move into 2026, our London office continues to establish itself as a go-to firm for clients navigating the most challenging and high-value disputes in the English courts.
