Quinn Emanuel has been included in The Lawyer ’s ‘The Top 20 cases of 2024’

The case: IBM UK v LzLabs and others, is led by Partners Kate Vernon and Gregory Pantlin, who are currently representing IBM United Kingdom (“IBM UK”) in a substantial software dispute against LzLabs and its associated companies and individuals. The claim arises out of the development by LzLabs of software, known as the 'Software Defined Mainframe' or 'SDM', which is said to enable its customers to take applications developed for IBM mainframe computers and run them on x86-based computer architectures without the need for source code changes or recompilation.
