Laïla El Hakim is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Paris office.  She joined the firm in 2019. Her practice focuses on international commercial and investment arbitration. She represents and advises companies, states, and state-owned entities  in a variety of industries, particularly in the energy and IT sectors.  She has experience in arbitrations conducted under the rules of major arbitration centers (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, VIAC, SCAI, SIAC, etc.)

Laïla El Hakim has taught courses in Private International Law at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

She has also given lectures at several arbitration institutions, including the CRCICA in Cairo (Egypt), notably on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) project Agreement.

Prior to joining the firm, Laïla El Hakim trained at several international arbitration firms in Paris and Cairo (Egypt), where she represented sovereign states, state-owned entities, and multinational companies in international disputes.
