Tara MacNeill is a Work-From-Anywhere associate, attached to Quinn Emanuel’s Miami office. She joined the firm in 2022 and her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. Tara has represented companies and individuals before state and federal courts in a wide variety of matters, including business torts, labor and employment, copyright and trademark infringement, contract disputes, will contests, construction liability, land use and development, trade secret misappropriation, shareholder liability and remedies, easements and property rights, and premises liability.
Prior to joining the firm, Tara worked at a large regional firm in Albany, New York and clerked for the Honorable Julie S. Sneed, Magistrate Judge of the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the New York State Bar and the Florida State Bar, as well as several federal district courts.
Tara earned her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law where she served as a lead articles editor on the Washington & Lee Law Review and a student attorney for indigent clients. Tara graduated summa cum laude from W&L and received the John W. Davis Prize, an award for the graduating law student with the highest academic average.
Tara serves her local community as the treasurer of the Dunedin Scottish Arts Foundation, a cultural organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the Scottish arts, including piping, drumming, and Highland dancing. Tara also assists the Florida Board of Bar Examiners with crafting questions and grading the Florida bar exam.
