Carsten Ritter is a Counsel at Quinn Emanuel's Hamburg Office. As a German qualified attorney (Rechtsanwalt), his practice focuses on commercial and mass litigation as well as arbitration, with a particular emphasis on tech disputes and regulated products. Carsten regularly appears for his clients before authorities, courts and arbitral tribunals.
For several years, Carsten has been advising a European automotive manufacturer on its strategy in mass litigation focusing on regulatory aspects. For this client, Carsten is responsible for the set-up of the technical defense and frequently appears in oral proceedings.
In addition, Carsten advised, among others, an aerospace company in a contractual dispute as well as a non-European automotive manufacturer with regard to regulatory issues. Furthermore, Carsten advised a company in the telecommunications sector, inter alia, on regulatory, competition law and administrative law issues relating to the resource allocation at the European level and by the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA).
Carsten graduated from Bucerius Law School in 2015 after spending a semester at Université Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne. During his studies, he focused on regulatory and public law. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, he completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court Hamburg, which included stages at a first tier US law firm and the Department of Justice of Hamburg.
