Our Tokyo office focuses on litigation in the United States and Europe, and our lawyers do not practice domestic Japanese law.  Accordingly, we are looking for either Japanese bengoshi or benrishi who have experience in U.S. or European litigation (above and beyond a degree, such as an LLM) and are interested in focusing exclusively on foreign litigation, or for attorneys from the U.S. or Europe with advanced Japanese language skills.  Japanese language capabilities should be significantly beyond conversational, and include an ability to conduct and participate in client meetings conducted exclusively in Japanese.
