Diane Doolittle and Melissa Baily Named Top Women Lawyers 2024 by The Daily Journal

Congratulations to Quinn Emanuel Partners Diane Doolittle and Melissa Baily, who have been named by The Daily Journal as two of their “Top Women Lawyers” for 2024. This award recognizes female attorneys in California whose work The Daily Journal feels has made a significant impact on the legal field.

Diane – who has won this award several times between 2009 and 2022 – was this year recognized not only for her impressive body of previous litigation work, but also for upcoming trials where she will be appearing on both sides of the “v”; firstly representing a Texas equity fund against supermarket billionaire Ron Burkle involving the purchase of the bankrupt The Weinstein Company and then on the plaintiff side of the “v” in a trial on behalf of a small drug development company against pharma giant Eli Lilly & Co.

Melissa, who was previously recognized by the Daily Journal as one of their “Top 40 Under 40” has been recognized now as one of their “Top Women Lawyers” for her recent work for client Google in a jury trial against Personal Audio, as lead counsel defending Berkshire Hathaway company Johns Manville in a patent litigation case brought by competitor Knauf Insulation, and in particular for her defense of Google against Sonos in an extensive litigation campaign featuring infringement claims of six patents by various Google products and services.
