For the second week in a row, Quinn Emanuel has earned not one, but two ALM | Law.com Litigator of the Week honors: a Runner-Up recognition and a Shout-Out.

Runner-Up: Luke Nikas, Paul Maslo, and Alex Lefkowitz represented the Morgan Art Foundation in a long-running dispute over the works of artist Robert Indiana, including his iconic "LOVE" stacked-word image and sculpture. A Manhattan federal jury awarded the foundation $102 million in damages, including $5 million in punitive damages and $89 million for tortious interference, after finding art publisher Michael McKenzie liable for copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and the isolation and exploitation of Indiana prior to his death in 2018.

Shout-Out: Emily Kapur, Andy Rossman, and Jesse Bernstein helped silicon battery maker Enovix Corp. achieve a rare total defeat of class certification in a putative securities fraud class action. U.S. Senior District Judge Susan Illston in San Francisco found that the sole remaining alleged misstatement did not actually impact the company’s stock price, defeating the predominance necessary for class certification.  These types of challenges have had only a 5% success rate nationwide, and this is only the first such victory in the Ninth Circuit. The team also included Brenna Nelinson, Courtney Whang, Sasha Boutilier, and Jack Vallar.

Congratulations to all on back-to-back weeks of outstanding recognition.
