Firm News

Quinn Emanuel is pleased to welcome Sarah Heaton Concannon, who joins the firm as a partner based in the Washington, D.C.* and New York offices. Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Sarah most recently served as Senior Trial Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Sarah has appeared on behalf of the agency in federal court and in administrative proceedings nationwide, serving as lead trial counsel in enforcement actions and investigations targeting everything from issuer, investment adviser, and broker-dealer fraud, to auditor and gatekeeper improper professional conduct, to violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

“This is a time of sweeping activity in securities enforcement and regulation, and Sarah is just the person to help us build out this critical practice area,” says Michael Liftik, Co-Chair of the firm’s SEC Enforcement Practice and Co-Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office. “Our clients need to understand and navigate the changes now occurring, and Sarah has both the agency insights and the courtroom chops to help them do that.”
