Partners Michael Packard and Daniel Koffmann Discuss ‘Diaz v. United States' in a New York Law Journal Article

Quinn Emanuel Partners Michael Packard and Daniel Koffmann have a new article in the New York Law Journal titled "Dealing with ‘Diaz’: How Defendants Can Combat and Use Expert Testimony Regarding Group Mental State."  They discuss the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Diaz v. United States, which permits prosecutors introduce expert testimony about the mental states of people "like" the defendant, and identify practical strategies for defense counsel to limit the impact of such testimony and—even better—use Diaz to defendants’ advantage.
