The team secured a major win for San Diego County Credit Union, successfully defending its decision to exit a proposed $13.5B merger with California Coast Credit Union. When Cal Coast sought a court order to force the deal forward, San Diego Superior Court Judge Carolyn Caietti denied the requested injunction in a thoughtful and thoroughly reasoned opinion, finding evidence of "widespread institutional compliance issues" and discriminatory practices on Cal Coast's part.
