Quinn Emanuel Partner Named 'Litigator of the Week' by The American Lawyer

Quinn Emanuel is proud to announce that partner Eric Winston has been named co-litigator of the week by Law.com for his ‘game changing’ work on the intersection of bankruptcy law and the multi-district case relating to 3M’s Combat Arms earplugs. He, Adam Wolfson and Patricia Tomasco worked tirelessly leading up to a three-day evidentiary hearing and resulting detailed written opinion where the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana ruled that the bankruptcy automatic stay on litigation against 3M’s Aearo subsidiaries would not be extended to 3M itself. Unlike many other “mass tort” bankruptcy cases, this now paves the way for the 230,000 military service personnel and veteran claimants who had been harmed by the combat earplugs to move forward with their lawsuits against 3M.
