David Myre is a partner in Quinn Emanuel’s New York office.  He is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on high-stakes commercial and intellectual property disputes.  David has represented clients on a broad range of matters, having successfully tried cases to verdict in courts across the country including in commercial contract and fraud disputes, theft of trade secret suits, securities litigations, consumer class actions, and employment disputes.

  • Won bench trial on behalf of technology company, obtaining complete defense verdict on claims for Section 10(b) securities fraud, common law fraud, and breach of contract arising from a merger.  The Court also awarded defendants all attorney’s fees and costs associated with defending the action. 
  • Won bench trial on behalf of real estate developer against municipality, invalidating local ordinance which had restricted the developer’s activities.
  • Obtained arbitration award on behalf of professional sports team in breach of contract action related to broadcasting rights.
  • Won jury trial on behalf of technology company in dispute with former employee over commissions payments.
  • Obtained arbitration award on behalf of multi-national construction company in action against former employee for trade secret misappropriation.
  • Obtained jury verdict in favor of start-up for breach of contract claim against telecom company.
  • Obtained arbitration award on behalf of technology company in breach of contract action against reseller for reseller’s improper “gray marketing” of the company’s product.
  • Successfully defended suit by customer against a technology company related to a software implementation project, resulting in plaintiff dropping all claims while dismissal motion was pending.
  • Successfully defeated multiple requests for a temporary restraining order by rival video game company alleging trade secret infringement.
  • Obtained dismissal of antitrust suit against private equity firm related to alleged fixing of interest rates in bank rate listing tables.
