Aliki Sofis is Co-Managing Partner of Quinn Emanuel’s Boston Office. Aliki is a seasoned litigator and trial lawyer with wide-ranging experience handling plaintiff-side and defendant-side complex commercial disputes, including bet-the-company litigation, crisis management issues, consumer class actions, technology litigation, international arbitrations, business fraud and contractual breaches, employment disputes, and securities matters before a number of federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals.
Aliki is recognized nationally as an award winning attorney who gets results for her clients and is specifically sought out for her book-smarts meets street-smarts good judgment. Aliki has been ranked year after year by Chambers USA in General Commercial Litigation from 2021 through 2024: described as “a dedicated and ambitious lawyer with a lot of courtroom experience,” exhibiting "a strong emotional intelligence" and “the ability to manage a broad range of business disputes” all while providing “insightful, comprehensive and strategic counsel.” Aliki also has been consistently honored by Super Lawyers in the category of Business Litigation from 2014 through 2023, and was recognized by the Lawdragon 500 as a Leading Lawyer in America for Business Litigation and Class Actions for six consecutive years from 2019 through 2024. Aliki has represented corporations, individuals, and financial service firms and corporate officers and directors in high-stakes, high-dollar disputes domestically and internationally, and advises both corporate and individual clients on strategic resolution of commercial disputes and on trial strategy. Aliki has extensive trial experience, participating in two or more trials or arbitration hearings per year, including a multi-trip arbitration in Hong Kong that resulted in a $100 million award and an expedited twelve week file-to-trial jury trial in the District of Massachusetts that secured a jury verdict of non-infringement on all asserted patents.
Aliki further expanded her courtroom experience in 2014, when she served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County, where she prosecuted jury trials and argued evidentiary motions regularly. She is an active member of the Boston legal community, serving as a Committee Member for the Boston Bar Association and Boston College Law Day.

- Achieved complete victory, serving as trial counsel representing Markforged in a bet-the-company three-week jury trial before the District of Massachusetts, where Desktop Metal sought a permanent injunction and damages in connection with certain patents. Secured jury verdict of noninfringement on all patents at issue on behalf of client Markforged.
- Successfully represented LoJack Corp. during a month long international arbitration with summations on liability and damages in Hong Kong, on a matter brought against a Chinese supplier for breach of warranty. In one of the largest international arbitration awards ever decided in Hong Kong or China, won a $100 million award, with all counterclaims against the client denied.
- On behalf of Berkeley Research Group in a nearly decade-long legal battle against FTI Consulting, successfully persuaded the Massachusetts Appeals Court—in a unanimous decision—to reverse a multi-million dollar judge verdict under Chapter 93A and to further vacate a $21M jury verdict.
- Successfully represented EF Education First in consumer class action litigation in the District of Massachusetts involving more than 283,000 potential class members and over $185 million in refunds for educational tours that could not depart due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After four years of litigation, the federal court denied class certification.
- Successfully obtained significant nationwide preliminary injunction, on an emergency basis, on behalf of Steward Health Care in MA state court in connection with critical care staffing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Achieved complete victory for LoJack Corp. in high-stakes, three-week international arbitration before the ICDR involving purported material contract breaches. Panel awarded zero damages on claims seeking in excess of $100 million in damages, and found in favor of the client's counterclaims.
- Represented The TJX Companies and certain subsidiaries in consumer class actions in California and New Jersey challenging TJX's price advertising practices under state consumer protection statutes, as well as in Massachusetts with respect to TJX’s marketing of certain products.
- When a high-ranking female executive endured years of discrimination, harassment, demotion and constructive discharge due to her gender, pregnancy and status as a mother, Aliki co-led negotiations against a large sporting goods retailer for a multi-million dollar pre-litigation settlement.
- Secured decision on behalf of Dentsply Sorona (f/k/a Astra Tech, Inc.) after a two-week bench trial in Massachusetts Superior Court regarding an indemnification dispute with shareholders' agent over disposition of an escrow fund.
- Successfully represented national law firm relating to employment discrimination and retaliation suit, securing dismissal of all claims against it at summary judgment.
