WASHINGTON, D.C. – Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, announced that Catie Ventura has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington, D.C., office.
Ventura focuses on civil antitrust defense litigation and government investigations and has extensive experience trying cases that turn on novel legal questions. She successfully defended a healthcare company in the first criminal no-poach case filed by the Department of Justice and counseled an engineering company in another no-poach criminal case that was dismissed on a motion for directed verdict, one of the first against the DOJ in decades.
Ventura also recently won a motion to dismiss for a nuclear power generation company in ongoing civil litigation alleging wage-fixing in the nuclear power industry and represented the largest wine and spirits distributor in the country in a monopolization matter, resolved favorably for the client.
