Nicola Felice’s practice focuses on patent litigation and other intellectual property matters. Nicola represents clients in all aspects of offensive and defensive litigation matters in disputes relating to patents, trade secrets, contracts, licensing, and other complex commercial issues. Nicola has a diverse technical background, holding degrees in both biology and computer engineering, which has allowed her to successfully litigate cases involving a wide range of technologies such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, digital rights management systems, and content delivery systems. Nicola has litigated in jurisdictions throughout the country, including the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Northern District of California, the District of New Jersey, the District of Delaware, the District of Utah, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the PTAB.
Prior to joining the firm, Nicola served as a law clerk on the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

- Represented PureWick against Sage Products in two patent infringement cases involving external urinary catheters. One case proceeded to trial in the District of Delaware where we obtained a jury verdict in PureWick’s favor and entry of judgment totaling 28 million. The other case settled favorably.
- Currently representing Viasat against SanDisk in a patent infringement case filed in the Northern District of California. Viasat is challenging the validity of SanDisk’s patents relating to digital rights management and media streaming systems.
- On behalf of C.R. Bard, obtained summary judgment of non-infringement regarding an implantable vascular access port patent in the District of Utah.
- On behalf of Genevant, obtained dismissal for lack of subject matter jurisdiction of a declaratory judgment action filed by Acuitas in the District of New Jersey relating to lipid nanoparticle technology.
- Currently representing Genevant against Pfizer and BioNTech in a patent infringement suit in the District of New Jersey relating to lipid nanoparticle technology and Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine.
